This year’s first meeting of Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s expert (working) groups on ecology was held in the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev on March 31, 2016. The meeting was devoted to the harmonization of draft document on inter-agency cooperation between Pridnestrovie and Moldova’s services conducting hydrometeorological observation and environmental monitoring.
The meeting of the expert (working) groups on railway communication was held at the initiative of the Pridnestrovian side in the Kishinev office of the OSCE Mission on March 30, 2016.
A proposal to organize working expert consultations was voiced by Vitaly Ignatiev on March 3, 2016 at the meeting with representative on political issues from Moldova Gheorghe Balan.
President Yevgeny Shevchuk met with the deputy of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the Council of the ANO “Eurasian integration”. Alexei Zhuravlev informed the president on the progress of construction work on a number of building sites that are held on the territory of Pridnestrovie by the Russian non-governmental organization.

President of Pridnestrovie Yevgeny Shevchuk met with the delegation of the Foreign Ministry of the Russian Federation, headed by State Secretary - Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia Grigory Karasin. They discussed topical issues in the Russian-Pridnestrovian cooperation in various areas. It was about the implementation of a number of social and humanitarian projects in Pridnestrovie by the Russian Federation. Attention was paid to the aspects of Pridnestrovie – Moldova negotiation process.
Today, on March 29, 2016, the office of the OSCE Mission in Kishinev hosted this year’s first meeting of the expert (working) groups on customs cooperation. The meeting was attended by representatives of the mediators and observers in the negotiation process.
At the initiative of the Moldovan side the meeting exchanged views on the prospects of cooperation in providing mutual statistical information on the ongoing foreign economic activity, including mutual trade between Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
President Yevgeny Shevchuk held a meeting with Acting Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Co-Chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov. Issues related to the current situation in the Security Zone were a central theme of the meeting.
